What to do in Wuxi
Wuxi is a major tourist area of the Lower Yangtze Delta. It has both natural and man-made places of interest

Nanchan Temple and Pagoda: build 782 CE the Nanchan temple is one of the most ancient Buddhist timber buildings advisable to visit in China. Together with the Pagodas they offer a wonderful scenery one must take the chance to visit.

Lake Tai: a great place to visit is the Lake Tai with some extraordinary spots such as Yuantou Zhu which is known as the Turtlehead islet or the Taihu Xiandao the Deities Island. One should not miss to see the 115 meter Ferris wheel which is a fantastic way to have an overview of the city center and the Lake Tai.

Mount Xi and Mount Hui: Located in the western part of the city one can visit two small hills which are literally called “Tin Mountain” and “Kindhearted Mountain”. At the bottom of the hills lie two gardens, the Ji-chang-yuan and Tianxia di er quan which is literally “ the second spring under heaven”

The Grand Canal: the canal that goes through the city and is known as the longest artificial river worldwide.

Wuxi has in its surroundings many private gardens such as Li Yuan and Mei Yuan which have been built by rich people and scholars and are still well preserved. Another good example and with historical relics is Xihui Gongyuan, located at the foot of Xi Shan

Grand Buddha at Ling Shan: one of the largest Buddhas in China is located in south of the Longshan Mountain, near Wuxi's Mashan Town. It’s spectacular height of 88 meters is the ninth tallest statue worldwide.

Huishan Ancient Town: situated in the north-west at the foot of Mont Hui is the 16th -19th century A.D. ancient town. Amongst it’s buildings are mainly family ancestral halls.

The first movie and TV film studio founded in 1987 is located in the western part of Wuxi Three State City Park.

Shan Juan Cave: this is a 4-star scenic zone where Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai, the Chinese Romeo and Juliet where said to study behind the cave.

Chen Chi Museum: the famous 20th century artist Chen Chi has a small collection of his work in this museum, which was build to honor his work.
