Wuxi is located on the Yangtse River in the south of Jiangsu Province, right between Suzhou and Nanjing. It is precisely half way between the cities of Shanghai and Nanjing. Due to its scenic location on the shore of Lake Tai, Wuxi is often called the "Pearl of Lake Tai". Wuxi is also often dubbed as the "little Shanghai" for its booming economy and proximity to the metropolis.

Wuxi is now split into two main areas: Old Wuxi and Wuxi new District, where Worldhotel Grand Juna is located.
Established in 1992, Wuxi New District has now become one of the major industrial parks in China. Around 1200 companies are now registered in Wuxi New District. Most of them focus on electronic, mechanical and electrical integrations, fine chemicals or bio-pharmaceuticals. Wuxi’s downtown is within 15-30 minutes’ drive. Wuxi attractions like museums, shopping in Wuxi's shopping center, recreation centers, parks and restaurants are all available for a perfect business or leisure stay in Wuxi.
